In Dreams
This is one of those movies that you watch in a certain situation and it scares the piss out of you, then you watch it again several years later and you are wondering why the hell you were so scared. It just goes to show that movies that you liked when you were younger may not stand the test of time. That's why I can't watch Goonies anymore. I'm afraid I won't like it. Anyways, Annette Benning and Robert Downey Jr. star.

Ju-On, The Grudge
There are some of you out there that are disenchanted with the SMG version of The Grudge. I can understand that, she disenchants me as well. However, the Japanese version is very good and very scary. The only real problem with this movie is that there is no real resolution to the film. It just kind of continues on and on with people getting killed by this wacked-out ghosts. I also realize that some of you might not like that style of film-making. Tough nookies, I liked it.

Battle Royal
This was one of these little Japanese gems that you normally wouldn't pick up, but it was a lucky shot that I did. Very funny, very dark and very bloody. A class of high school students are forced onto an island and have to kill each other. Its kind of a "...30 kid enter, 1 kid leaves" type deal. All sorts of wackyness ensues.

Van Helsing
The best part of this movie is during the blooper reels. Dracula has a line that is supposed to be "...I give you, VAN HELSING!" Of course, he says "...I give you, VAN HALEN!". That was awesome. The acutal movie was not awesome, but it wasn't terrible. It was OK, but nothing I would rush right out and watch again. But of course, I'm a girl, and Hugh Jackman and the dude who played Dracula were WAY HOT.
