No expectations coming
into this movie. Like
Ray Liotta a whole lot and I wasn't real familiar with
Jason Patric. Not a bad little film, with a suprising ending that most cop dramas of the past years posess. A very suprisingly good job was done by Busta Rhymes, who made up for that horrible turn in Halloween: Resurection. An interesting look into the life of the undercover narcotics officer, a job that I for sure do not want.

Jeepers Creepers 2
I have to admit, I let hype from friends keep me from seeing
this in the theaters. I really loved the first one, and heard from many whom I respect that this was a big let down from it. Not bad, they said, but wait for the DVD. I listened. I feel really stupid, because I really would have enjoyed seeing this movie in the theater. I really liked it, a whole lot more than the majority of peole did. Most people panned it, and some gave it props, but it didn't make as big of a splash as I thought it should have. A pretty good sequal, and not a bad way to set up a third one. Really good, check it out.

The Lord of the Rings: Return of the King
In a
word, great. In several words, not the best, but really dang close. This wrap up to a wonderful trilogy tied up all the elements in neat little bows. With the exception of the ending, which would not stop, the stories came to a grand and exciting conclusion at the battle for the White City (Esilador?). Fairly heavy in CGI, but not in a bad way, the special effects worked well. See this movie this holiday season, its a great adventure. Escapism at its finest.

Hmmm, I'm still a little confused about this movie. Walking out of the theater, I hated it. Halfway to the car, I thought it wasn't that bad. Driving thru Steak and Shake, it moved itself up to pretty good. It stopped there, however, and its very unlikely to move up. The atmosphere was creepy, but the plot was predictable ( I have the uncanny ability to be able to guess plotlines, and I guessed it halfway through the movie ). I'm always glad to see Robert Downey Jr get work. I don't really buy the Halle-Berry-is-a-great-actress thing. She makes a good "scared face" and thats about it. Anyhoo..
